IDL Introduces Color Certificate

Although complete diamond grading from IDL will only be available at their laboratory in Dubai, color grading will be available at IDL offices in Mumbai and Antwerp.
The IDL color certificate confirms that the diamond is not synthetic and that it has not been treated. It also provides the carat weight.
“The IDL color certificate offers an analysis of the 2 C’s that determine mostly the price of a diamond: carat and color,” explains Peter Meeus, CEO of IDL. “[It also] offers accurate and low cost color analysis in the B2B trade. Dealers can obtain certainty on color before closing a deal.”
Offered at a price below $10 for the smallest stones (22 points and below), the color grading also opens the possibility to achieve added value for smaller stones – where the cost of a full 4C certificate would be financially worthwhile when taking into account the total value of the stone.
