ICA Launches Poster Design Contest

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) will hold its 5th ICA International Poster Competition in conjunction with the ICA Congress, scheduled for May 5-10 in Panyu, Guangzhou, China’s largest jewelry manufacturing area.

The competition is an attempt from ICA to encourage its members, the colored gemstone community at large, art students and graphic designers to find new, creative ideas to promote the appreciation and trade of colored gemstones through artistic poster designs.

Submitted posters must be original designs, sized 35 x 50 cm (12 x 20 inch) and should carry the ICA logo, which can be downloaded from the IICA website, www.gemstone.org. An original written slogan can be added. All written information should be in English, but designers are encouraged to add the slogan in their national language as well.

Participants must submit a color printout of the poster, sized A, along with the file on disk in one of the following formats: PDF, jpeg, eps or tif. The file should not be smaller than 36 MB and the resolution no less than 300 DPI.

The deadline for submitting posters is 31 December 2008. The materials should be submitted only to the Coordinator of the Organizing Committee (contact details below). Posters will be judged by ICA officials and members of the public. The three best designs will be awarded during the ICA Congress.
