AWDC, Botswana ‘Willing to Deepen Relations’

Botswana and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) expressed willingness to deepen their relations “through complementary activities,” AWDC said in a release today (Thursday). No further details were supplied about the nature of these activities.

The statement follows the visit of Botswana’s Minister of Energy, Minerals & Water Resources, Ponatshego Kedikilwe in Antwerp.

Kedikilwe met with the newly elected AWDC board of directors, members of the Antwerp diamond community and toured the AWDC Diamond Office.

The minister and AWDC said they were interested in creating comprehensive cooperation between Antwerp and the emerging Botswana diamond centre in the capital city of Gaborone.
