Former IDE President Forem Passes Away

Yitzhak Forem has passed away Tuesday night at the age of 72. Forem, who served as president of the Israel Diamond Exchange for five years, was a banker that decided to become a diamantaire in 1983.
By 1993, just ten years after he joined the industry, Forem was elected president of the IDE. He was unanimously reelected in 1995 and in 1998, Fourm was appointed president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB)
In April 2000, he became honorary president of the IDE.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
