AGS Labs Diamond Quality Analysis - Now Up to 1.99 Ct

September 16, 10 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

The American Gem Society Laboratories expanded to scope of its Diamond Quality Analysis (DQA) report to include diamonds weighing 0.18-1.99 carats, the company said. Until now, the DQA was offered for diamonds weighing up to 0.99 carats.

AGS also added an option to include with the report a computer-generated light performance map for diamond shapes featured in the AGS Performance Grading system.

The report contains a complete analysis of the diamond's cut, color, clarity and carat weight, as well as a laser inscription of the AGS number.

“The DQA is a very versatile document, and many of our clients find it useful in their sales pitch,” said AGS Labs Executive Director Peter Yantzer. “We started seeing a demand for this grading report for slightly larger diamonds, and we were happy to make it available in order to meet our clients’ needs.”
