Two White Rough Diamonds Sold for $60,000 P/C

The diamonds were offered in a special tender by Gem Diamonds and according to Gem Diamonds’ CEO, Clifford Elphick, the diamonds bought by AFDICO are of “top color and outstanding clarity.”
In a separate tender, the miner sold a 4.68 carat rough blue diamond for $155,000 p/c, the highest price per carat achieved for a Letseng rough diamond to date. The company did not disclose who bought the blue diamond.
The average price achieved for the run of mine November tender was $2,341 p/c.
One of the partners in SAFDICO is Lawrence Graff who purchased two weeks ago a fancy intense pink diamond weighing 24.78 carats for $46.2 million, setting a world record for an auctioned diamond or jewel. Graff is also invested in Gem Diamonds.
