The diamond-trading strategy game “Diamond Trust of London” takes place in pre-Kimberley Process Angola, where, as a diamond miner, players must bribe UN inspectors, operate agents and do whatever else necessary to collects diamonds for their London outfit.
The Nintendo DS game was due out last year, however, according to game developer Jason Rohrer, the “Nintendo Approval Process,” delayed its release.
After the flack the diamond industry took following the release of the movie Blood Diamond, this game makes light of illicit diamond trade, although this is probably not the PR the industry is looking for.
