(IDEX Online) - Music icon Stevie Wonder wowed the crowds at the Met Gala, sporting a 23.62-carat diamond brooch on his hat.
The Flourishing Lotus Brooch is a one-off creation by De Beers, inspired by the lotus flower, blending white and fancy colored stones and crafted in colored titanium and black rhodium-plated gold.
It is part of De Beers' high jewelry collection The Alchemist of Light, which is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional diamond design using innovative materials and artistry.
Wonder, 74, was making his debut appearance at the star-studded fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
He graced the red carpet in a tailored black ensemble by Sergio Hudson, complete with a dramatic black cape, capturing the evening's theme - Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
The 25-times Grammy winner has sold over 100m records and is best known for hits including "Superstition", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", and "I Just Called to Say I Love You".
