Star Diamond Losses Narrow as it Cuts Costs
November 10, 25
(IDEX Online) - Canadian junior miner Star Diamond reported another net loss in Q3, of CAD 989,000 (USD 705,000).
It was lower than its Q3 loss in 2024 (CAD 1.4m, USD 997,000) and its loss of CAD 1.45m (USD 1,034,000) in Q2 2025.
The company said it was narrowing its losses primarily by cutting administrative and exploration costs.
Star Diamond, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has reduced its expenditure by pausing its exploration at Fort a la Corne, a remote area northeast of the city of Saskatoon, although it announced earlier this month that it had secured funding to resume.
It has also cut costs by reducing lease payments on its headquarters, and by reducing management and employee costs.
In its Third Quarter 2025 Results, published on 10 November, the company said net loss for the first nine months of 2025 was CAD 3.4m (USD 2.4m), down slightly from CAD 3.9m (USD 2.8m) during the same period in 2024.
