Amber Pepper Appointed as New CEO at NDC
November 24, 25
(IDEX Online) - The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has announced the appointment of Amber Pepper, currently chief customer experience officer at the online luxury platform Mytheresa, as its new CEO.
She will succeed David Kellie, who steps down at the end of December after almost six years at the helm.
Pepper, a law graduate, worked at luxury fashion platforms Tapestry, Farfetch, and at Harrods, the department store, before being appointed chief marketing and customer officer at Munich-based Mytheresa, as of October last year. She was subsequently promoted to managing director.
One of her first challenges will be to oversee the long-delayed launch of the NDC's Luanda Accord marketing campaign.
In June, African diamond producers pledged one per cent of their rough export sales to fund NDC promotions to combat rising lab grown sales. Last month Kellie said the campaign was ready, but the funding wasn't.
Pepper takes on her new role on 1 February 2026.
Sandrine Conseiller, NDC chair, said: "We are delighted to welcome Amber as the new CEO of the Natural Diamond Council. Her global perspective, commercial expertise, and deep understanding of luxury consumers make her an exceptional choice to lead the Council and galvanise the industry."
