Jewelers of America Announces Impact Initiative Recipients

Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association representing businesses across the U.S. fine jewelry marketplace, has announced the recipients of its Jewelers of America Impact Initiative.
Eight jewelry organizations were selected to receive funding for projects that address some of the industry's most pressing challenges, including education, workforce development, access to careers in the jewelry trade, ethical practices, environmental responsibility, and innovation.
The recipients include:
92NY - The organization will expand its successful Teen Gems program, a free, high-level jewelry arts training initiative for New York City high school students.
Diamond Council of America (DCA) - As the U.S. jewelry industry faces a growing workforce shortage, DCA's program empowers retail jewelry professionals through affordable and accessible distance education, helping them build the expertise, credentials, and confidence to sell with integrity and professionalism.
Diamond Club West Coast - In response to increasing theft and crime affecting the Los Angeles Jewelry District, the organization is working to strengthen crime prevention and investigation by enhancing the crime-solving resources available to the LAPD Central Division.
Diamonds Do Good - The organization supports and strengthens communities where natural diamonds are mined, cut, polished, and sold. Through its "My Diamond Did Good" initiative, it provides jewelry professionals with verified tools and authentic stories that demonstrate the positive impact of natural diamonds on communities around the world.
Future Jewelers Academy - Established to address the growing shortage of skilled workers in the U.S. jewelry industry, the Academy creates direct training pathways for high school students and young adults pursuing careers in the jewelry trade.
Georgia Jewelers Association - The non-profit association, whose mission is to promote and protect the interests of retail jewelers across Georgia, is responding to members' concerns over the shortage of qualified bench jewelers.
Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA) - JSA works to protect the jewelry industry from crime,focusing the growing threat of cybercrime.
Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) - The non-profit trade organization promotes the highest ethical standards within the jewelry industry. Its funded project will develop a comprehensive guide covering different types of plated jewelry and alternative metals.
