Diamond Digits

August 07, 12 by Danielle Max

(IDEX Online News) – It’s been a while since we did a “most expensive” story, so thanks to Azature for stepping into the breach with the announcement of “the most expensive nail polish in the world.”

The one-off bottle of polish – aimed squarely at the “one-percenters” – contains 267 carats of black diamonds and will retail for $250,000.

The company says that for those who can’t afford the quarter a million dollar price tag, which is pretty much everyone, it's creating a “budget” version that comes in a diamond-shaped bottle, contains a single black diamond and retails for $25 at Fred Segal.

According to a press release from Azature, “The black diamond is the ultimate fine jewel. Its combination of beauty, mystery and sophistication makes it a timeless luxury.”
