Sarin to Unveil Latest Machinery at JCK

June 01, 04 by Albert Robinson

Retail jewelers at the JCK Las Vegas Show, which starts later this week, will have the opportunity to inspect Sarin Technologies’ latest machinery and software which are aimed at providing diamonds analysis.

Among the Sarin machines on exhibition will be the latest version of its DiaScribe system, including a new Inscription Viewer that allows users to see diamond inscriptions on-screen rather than using a microscope or loupe.

Sarin, a developer of advanced systems for analyzing rough stones, measuring gem proportions, and laser marking polished stones, will also show its Brilliant Eye “S” Series – an on-the-counter machine that allows jewelry retailers to show images of a stone in an animated display and create a graphic diamond report.

Meanwhile, a new software application is aimed at helping retailers display a diamond’s brilliance, fire and scintillation to customers.

“More and more jewelry retailers understand that they can effectively enhance and personalize the diamond buying experience by offering customers inscriptions, often personalized, on the diamonds they wish to purchase,” said Sarin CEO Ze’ev Leshem.

“Retail jewelers are being confronted with consumers who are not only better informed but also demand more specific and detailed information about the jewelry products they are buying.”

Sarin has also developed the “DiaMobile”, a compact, portable case containing one of its machines and a laptop computer that runs software that grades the cut of polished stones and maps rough stones.
