Preparations are heating up for the inaugural IIJS Signature Goa show, which takes place February 29 to March 3. The business-to-business, invitation only, jewelry event will feature a select group of exhibitors and buyers.
According to the show hosts, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, (GJEPC), the event is intended to meet the sourcing needs of jewelers with global operations. With 1,500 to 2,000 buyers and around 150 exhibitors, attendees will certainly get the attention that is so often lacking from the bigger shows.
As an invitation-only event, GJEPC selected exhibitors and buyers in order to create a premium show, says Dolly Satpathy, GJEPC assistant director of promotion, marketing and business development.
Exhibitors and buyers were selected based on “what kind of jewelry categories the companies deal in and what the buyer is looking at buying. It is very important for Indian manufacturers to have the potential to buy,” said Satpathy. This is why, she explains, attendance is limited.

The showrooms will give potential customers and show attendees the opportunity to see detailed information about each company, as well as items in their collection, including photos and descriptive information, before and after the show.
As well as allowing show attendees to see their products, exhibitors will also gain exposure to the approximately 5,000 diamond and jewelry manufacturers and wholesalers who use idexonline.com, the leading B2B diamond trading network. The exhibitors’ galleries will remain online, at no additional charge, until March 31.
