Collectors Universe Net Revenues Down 10% to $9.7 Million
November 11, 08Collectors Universe reported net revenues of $9.7 million and a loss from continuing operations of $1.3 million for the first fiscal quarter. Jewelry grading revenues increased by 14 percent quarter-over-quarter to $435,000.
Net revenues for the quarter ended September 30 decreased 10.18 percent, primarily because of a 17 percent decrease in coin revenues, the company revealed.
The company is a provider of value-added authentication and grading services to dealers and collectors of high-value collectibles, diamonds and colored gemstones. It operates GCAL diamond grading lab and CDE, a diamond exchange.
