The dinner is set to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves in the jewelry industry, paying tributes in three categories: the AGS Lifetime Achievement Award, the AGS Triple Zero Awards, and the Richard T. Liddicoat Journalism Award. Next year’s award recipients will be announced in spring 2010.
"The award recipients truly embrace and promote the Robert M. Shipley mission of setting, maintaining, and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional behavior,” said Ruth Batson, executive director and CEO of AGS.
AGS, founded in 1934 by Robert M. Shipley, is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to proven ethics, knowledge, and consumer protection within the jewelry industry. Less than five percent of jewelers in the country meet the exacting requirements necessary for membership.
