IDI Looks Forward to BaselWorld, Will Launch New “Responsibility” Campaign
March 03, 10
Fourteen Israeli diamond exporters will participate in the BaselWorld 2010 show this year, set to take place March 18 – 25 in
The IDI stated it will host its annual press lunch at BaselWorld, where IDI Managing Director Eli Avidar will unveil the IDI’s new strategic campaign, “Responsibility is Good. Business.” Boaz Hirsch, the current chairman of the Kimberley Process, will be a guest speaker. Hirsch will use his speech to detail the KP’s plans for 2010 as well as what the world diamond industry should expect in the coming year.
The new marketing campaign, according to Avidar, signifies that the Israeli diamond industry will act responsibly as it emerges from the economic crisis.
“We believe that it is essential now to adopt a policy of responsibility – in prices, marketing, manufacturing, customer services and credit strategies. Our message is that the Israeli diamond industry is emerging from the crisis relatively unharmed, and will now be pursuing a very responsible path to renewed growth,” Avidar said. “This means that if you want to build your business in a responsible way, we are your partners for doing business in diamonds.”
