Forevermark Continues Expansion with South Africa Launch

(IDEX Online News) – Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers group of companies, is set to make its South African debut. The company announced the initial launch of the brand in South Africa with diamond distributor and jewelry manufacturer Caratco.

Under the agreement, Jewel Africa, Caratco’s retail outlet, will become the first exclusive “Authorised Forevermark Jeweler” in South Africa. Other outlets will be announced in the near future.

“Forevermark has achieved outstanding success in its existing markets such as China, Hong Kong, Japan and India, and we believe the brand will be just as successful in South Africa” said Stephen Lussier, CEO of Forevermark, on his recent visit to the country, which the group regards as its home.   

Forevermark will be available at Jewel Africa stores in Johannesburg and Cape Town by the end of the month.

Less than 1 percent of the world’s diamonds meet the company’s requirements to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and a unique identification number.
