Swift's Ring Designer: Follow Your Dream

(IDEX Online) - Kindred Lubeck, who designed THAT engagement ring for Taylor Swift, has spoken of her determination to succeed.

But said nothing about the questions being asked in diamond circles - about the spec of the stone or the price tag of her most famous creation.

Lubeck, aged 30, started designing jewelry just five years ago, specializing in hand engraving and vintage-inspired pieces.

She launched her jewelry brand, Artifex Fine Jewelry, in New York in 2024, with a collection of rings priced from $4,300 to $38,000.

But she was not widely known in mainstream media or celebrity circles until it became known that she designed the old mine brilliant cut diamond ring that NFL player Travis Kelce presented to Swift two weeks ago.

There has been intense speculation about the ring, which is likely to have cost at least $500,000.

Lubeck's jewelry-making videos on TikTok were attracting tens of thousands of views before the Swift ring. Her latest had 11.4m.

In one video she says: "I believe that if someone says you can't do something, you should prove them 110 per cent wrong.

"I think when one door closes, you should kick the next one down. I think that if you have a dream, you should never, ever quit."

Lubeck learned her craft from her father, Jay Lubeck, a master goldsmith based in Neptune Beach, Florida.
