"For the sake of effectiveness and time management, we want to give the incoming buyers as much direction and as many tools as possible to find the goods they are looking for. Buyers will be able to come to the door, quickly scan the IDEX listings of the goods available, pay visits to the relevant companies and conclude their business in the most efficient way," said Moti Besser, IDE's General Manager.
Besser thanked the Diamond Dealers Club of New York for its cooperation and support. "The DDC board and management have gone out of their way to facilitate this event on the trading floor," Besser said. "With the second edition of the Israel Diamond Week in New York only one week away, we expect a lot of trading during this four-day event as the timing is ideal and the forecasts for the upcoming holiday sales season keep improving," he added.
The Israel Diamond Week in New York aims to boost trade between the two bourses' members, to renew business between local suppliers and their clients, and to lower the threshold for diamond buying jewelry manufacturers and jewelry retailers who wish to obtain access to the Club.
IDEX's Help Desk staff at the DDC will be on hand to help buyers search online for the goods uploaded to IDEX by exhibitors, and direct them to the seller's booth, saving them time and providing access to the exact stones required.
